Wolves launch Wrestling Hall of Fame with John Ferguson the first to be honored

Over the weekend, Moorcroft hosted the 5th annual Dylan Humes Memorial Tournament that in-cluded 30 schools from multiple states. During this tournament, they announced the creation of the Moorcroft wrestling hall of fame with its first inductee, Coach John "Ferg" Ferguson.
Before the championship matches, Moorcroft wrestling coach Charlie Williams presented an award to coach Ferguson. The whole gym honored coach Ferguson with a standing ovation.
When asked how he felt about receiving the award coach Ferguson stated, "I was really shocked...I felt extremely honored."
John Ferguson was a former coach for Moorcroft starting in 1983. All his former wrestlers that were in the gym joined him on the mat for a picture.
When asked what his favorite coaching moment was, Ferguson said, "Whenever one of his wres-tlers stepped on the mat". It did not matter if the wrestler won or lost, he was proud of them either way.
Ferguson mentioned that he is so proud of Coach Charlie Williams. He also mentioned that when he started coaching, he had four wrestlers.
