Framework is being installed between the senior center and town hall areas.
The Moorcroft Town Center (MTC) remodel is ongoing, and the demo stage is now complete. The next phase, which is putting up metal framing, is about 70% complete.
According to Public Works Director Jeff Holberg, once the framing is up the trade workers, like mechanical and electrical, will complete their portions.
During the council meeting on Wednesday, January 22, Councilwoman Heidi Humpal stated her concerns on the clarification of who was purchasing the materials for the MTC.
At the conclusion of the conversation, it was decided with Holberg and Mayor Ben Glenn, who recused himself for the conversation, that there would be better reporting of purchases being made.
The reports on what the town is purchasing for the MTC remodel will be clarified to the building committee, which consists of Council Members Austin Smith and Humpal.
This way everyone is clear about what the town is buying and what to expect to see on the meet-ing's bill lists. Humpal stated, "It will also help keep track of what is to be installed at the project after its purchase."
