On Jan. 20, an officer was called to the high school to speak with a concerned paraprofessional who was worried about a juvenile’s well-being. The officer is currently investigating the situation.
On Jan. 20, an officer responded to a welfare check request from a neighbor concerned about their elderly neighbor who they hadn’t seen for a few days. The officer made contact with the individual, who explained they were fine but having phone trouble and would call the neighbor to reassure them.
On Jan. 22, authorities responded to an unattended death at a residence.
On Jan. 23, an officer assisted another police department in locating an individual believed to be residing in Moorcroft. The officers visited the person’s last known address but discovered that they had recently moved. Nothing further at this time.
On Jan. 23, an officer, along with Moorcroft EMS, responded to a report of an unconscious person in a vehicle. Upon arrival, the officer used an unlock kit to gain access to the car and turn off the engine. The individual was then transported to the hospital by EMS. Nothing further.
On Jan. 25, an officer provided a civil standby for an individual allowing their ex-partner to collect personal belongings from the house. Nothing further.
On Jan. 25, authorities responded to a welfare check after a passerby reported seeing someone fall and not get up. The officer found the individual, who stated they had been drinking, and fell, but were fine and didn’t need medical help. Nothing further.
On Jan. 25, an officer responded to a call from an individual concerned about their parent, who had not been responding. Upon arriving at the residence, the officer spoke with the parent, who assured them they were fine. The parent explained they were upset over events earlier in the day but had no thoughts of harming themselves. Nothing further.
