Pine Haven adds new council member

During the monthly Pine Haven Town Council meeting held on Tuesday, January 14, new council member Dustin Heying, was sworn in, replacing outgoing Councilwoman Emily Smith, who was presented with a plaque.

Councilwomen Suzette Edwards was sworn in for another term.

At the same meeting, resident Virgina Leetch Baldwin expressed her concerns on where the snow was being piled after the storms.

She told the council that the snow from the road was piled in front of mailboxes and in residents' driveways.

Both the council and the town attorney stated that it is the homeowners' responsibility to keep their mailboxes and driveways accessible.

Mayor Karla Brandenburg stated, "Our responsibility is to clear our streets."
