Moorcroft Police Report

Jan. 13-19

On Jan. 13, dispatch received a report of a domestic disturbance and contacted an officer. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the reporting party, who described a verbal dispute with their partner, claiming a beer can was thrown but did not hit them or cause any injuries. They called 911 to get assistance with making their partner leave the home. The partner, who had lived at the residence for three years, denied any wrongdoing, stating they were watching football when the argument started. The officer found no evidence of a physical altercation and suggested that the person reporting the incident consider staying at their parent’s house. However, the individual wanted to remain in their home. The officer explained that they could not remove the partner due to their long-term residence and advised the reporting party to start the eviction process the next morning. The officer also warned that frequent calls about verbal disputes might lead to a citation for false reporting.

On Jan. 19, an officer responded to the fire hall for an individual experiencing blood pressure issues. The officer stood by on the scene while EMS assessed the patient.
