Learning about fire safety

Moorcroft Fire Caption Justin Thomas and EMS personal Devin Lind attended Little Angel's Child-care to teach the children about fire safety. Topics discussed were the firefighters' gear, how they fight fires, how to protect themselves and family members and what to do if they catch on fire.

During this session, Caption Thomas demonstrated the "stop, drop and roll" tactic to the children. After the demonstration, the children practiced what they learned.

The children asked questions based on the gear and how the fire department and EMS save lives. Before leaving, the first responders gave the children plastic fire helmets and coloring books based on fire topics.
