The Voice of the Community Since 1909, Serving Moorcroft and Pine Haven, Wyoming
The Moorcroft Lady Wolves were back in action after the Christmas break to face the Lady Red Devils from Hulett. Both teams looked to get on track entering the contest. Moorcroft got out to an early lead and did not look back.
The defense structure was switched around, having players in different roles; a decision that could be costly. However, the girls responded well and look to continue this growth into this week’s games in the West River Tournament.
Lani Gill is the voice of the defense, bringing Ciara Fenner along as well. London McCrea has been shooting the ball and seems to find herself around the ball a lot defensively. Kylee Keller-Decoteau continues to put in work after practice in order to play catch up from lost years (only her second year).
As a whole the team is playing very well, and make their own adjustments through conversations both on the court and off. I am anticipating a big game in the near future from Hailey, or Talia as well.
We have a lot of girls on this team that also did things that do not show up in the stats section or headlines, but we could not succeed without any of these girls. It truly is a great group to work with.
