Getting thicker

With the winter season upon us, fishermen are getting ready for ice fishing at Keyhole. Ice condi-tions on Keyhole are suitable for ice fishing as of now.

Keyhole State Park Superintendent Greg Devereaux says there are reports of ice being between five and seven inches. However, this ice is only in certain areas like Wind Creek and Coulter Bay.

Keyhole's ice is patchy and with the colder weather will become more solid. Superintendent Devereaux mentions that fisherman should test the ice when moving to different areas.

Ice fishing can be dangerous, so people should use caution and check ice reports. Superintendent Devereaux cautions, "stay safe and have fun".
