On Dec. 31, officers were dispatched to a residence for a domestic assault. The individual involved was found outside waiting for the officers and placed in custody. Officers interviewed all parties involved and collected evidence. The investigation is ongoing.
On Jan. 1, an officer was approached by a person in the Subway parking lot who had locked their keys inside their car. The individual asked for assistance in getting back into the vehicle, and the officer was able to unlock the car for them. Nothing further.
On Jan. 2, a local church and a police officer worked together to help someone by providing emergency funds for gas. Nothing further.
On Jan. 3, an officer responded to a report of a domestic dispute and met with the reporting party at their family’s house. The individual explained that a verbal disagreement had occurred, and the officer advised them to stay with family for the night to let things cool down. The officer then interviewed the other party at the residence, who confirmed the verbal argument. The officer also suggested that they remain at home for the night to help diffuse the situation. Nothing further at this time.
On Jan. 4, a local pastor contacted an officer to inform them about an individual in need of emergency funds for fuel and food. The officer was able to assist the individual.
On Jan. 5, officers responded to an emergency medical call for an individual who was pale and vomiting outside a local establishment. The officer arrived at the scene to assist emergency personnel until they were no longer needed. Nothing further.
