The Voice of the Community Since 1909, Serving Moorcroft and Pine Haven, Wyoming
A new year brings new beginnings and goals to the community. For the upcoming year of 2025, the museum, chamber of commerce, MIC food pantry and library have new ideas to better the community.
The West Texas Trails Museum is looking forward to bringing new displays to the community. These new displays will be based on families, oil fields and the first settlers.
The museum is also working on labeling everything so that visitors and employees can understand the information correctly.
Moorcroft Chamber of Commerce goals are to find more volunteers, grow the community events and to support the community. The chamber will also be taking over the ribs for rally in partnership with Diehl’s.
Community events the chamber puts on are Jubilee, rib meal for rally, safety day, parade of lights, Christmas baskets, harvest festival and decorating contests.
Moorcroft Interfaith Community (MIC) food pantry has many goals for this upcoming year. A lot of their goals include raising funds for the food pantry building.
As always, a MIC food pantry goal is to provide food to insecure households. Households in the northeastern part of Wyoming can receive food at this pantry.
The Moorcroft Branch Library goal is to continue to offer programs/events for all ages. The current programs will continue to be available throughout the upcoming year.
Even though no one wants to talk about the bad things in life, there should be a plan. The library is planning on offering new programs that are based on end-of-life planning and Alzheimer’s.
