Dec. 23-29
On Dec. 23 an officer was called from home to investigate a report of a suspicious vehicle in the bank parking lot. Upon arrival, the officer found an individual asleep in their car. The officer woke the individual and informed them that their presence was making employees uncomfortable. The officer suggested that they could move to the nearby Coffee Cup parking lot to take a nap without being bothered. The officer remained on the scene until the individual left the parking lot. Nothing further.
On Dec. 25 an officer was dispatched to a residence following a report of a possible break-in. The officer, along with an on-duty sheriff from Crook County, responded to the scene. The homeowners stated that they had been at a Christmas party all day, and upon returning home, they noticed that their door had been damaged. The officers observed multiple areas of damage on the door indicating an attempt to pry the door open. They checked the other doors and windows and found no tampering. The homeowners confirmed that nothing was missing from the house or garage. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
On Dec. 27 an officer was able to help provide emergency funds for groceries. Nothing further.
On Dec. 27 an officer responded to a residence to assist the Moorcroft Ambulance with a patient. Nothing further.
On Dec. 28 an officer assisted an individual with emergency funds for gas. Nothing further.
