Glenn Construction wins bid for MTC remodel

During the council meeting on Wednesday, December 11, Glenn Construction was awarded the bid to renovate the Moorcroft Town Center (MTC). The renovation when finished will allow the town to enjoy a new town hall and police department.

Repairs that were awarded included demo, exterior siding, front door, framing, insulation, interior doors and frames, drywalling, painting, suspended ceiling, flooring, casework, HVAC, electrical and concrete.

Councilwoman Heidi Humpal did express her concern at the lack of transparency and clarity over portions of the bid from Glenn Construction. During the meeting, Humpal stated, “I am not com-fortable moving forward” and mentioned that she feels that the process needs to be tabled due to the lack of information on the bid documents.

However, Councilmen Peterson, Smith and Stewart wanted to move forward with the project. The council did not want to rebid the project, so they voted to award it to Glenn Construction. Coun-cilwoman Humpal voted in opposition.
