Christmas Basket Project gets underway

The Moorcroft Chamber of Commerce is once again gearing up for their annual Christmas Basket Project. This is a very worthwhile project that helps the less fortunate out during the holiday season.

In past years, they have put together anywhere from 40-50 baskets, so any kind of food or monetary donations would be greatly appreciated.

For anyone needing a food basket, or, if you know of anyone needing a food basket, forms are available at the Moorcroft Post Office, Diehl’s Supermarket, Pinnacle Bank and the Coffee Cup Fuel Stop – complete the form and place it in the container.

There will be an Angel Tree this year. Anyone wanting to make an angel smile this Christmas can pick an angel off the tree at Pinnacle Bank of the Coffee Cup Fuel Stop. Please return to Pinnacle Bank, no later than Wed., Dec. 18.

The Chamber will be putting baskets together Fri., Dec. 20; any help would be greatly appreciated. Baskets can be picked up at the Elementary School lunchroom, Sat., Dec. 21 between 9 and 11 a.m. If you are not able to pick up your basket, please make plans as baskets that are not picked up by 11 a.m. will be dispersed between the other baskets.

There will be a box at Pinnacle Bank for anyone that wants to donate any non-perishable food for this worthwhile project. All food will be distributed in the baskets.

Any questions, please contact Kathy Werkele at 307-660-9718, Jodi Clark at 307-660-3312.
