Beverly DeWitt died Tuesday, September 10, 2024, in Macon, Georgia. She was 82.
Ms. DeWitt was born July 8, 1942, in Pasco, Washington, to John and Hanna Carlisle. She attended various schools in Washington and Wyoming.
On December 28, 1964, she married Raymond DeWitt in Spokane, Washington. They moved to California shortly after the wedding.
They moved back to Wyoming in 1970. She moved to Georgia in 2019 to live with her son and daughter-in-law.
On February 7, 1975, she was baptized in Shirley Basin, Wyoming. She attended Shirley Basin Baptist Church, Shirley Basin Assemblies of God and First Assemblies of God Church in Gillette, Wyoming.
Her hobbies included Bible studies, reading, writing short stories for family and friends and yard work. She was known for her prairie dog town in Moorcroft, Wyoming. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.
She is survived by her sons, Craig (Theresa) DeWitt of Elk Mountain, Wyoming and Justin (Laura) DeWitt of Forsyth, Georgia as well as her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, her parents and sister.
