Moorcroft Police

On Sept. 16, an officer responded to a residence to assist EMS with an individual needing immediate medical attention. The officer remained on the scene until the ambulance arrived. Nothing further.

On Sept. 17, a citizen entered the police station to report that an individual was drifting their car around the flagpole on Big Horn Avenue. While the officer was discussing the incident, they observed the individual drifting around the flagpole for a second time. The officer was able to locate the individual and issue them a citation. Nothing further.

On Sept. 19, a mail carrier called the police station to report that some mailboxes had been run over and there was mail all over the ground. Officers spoke with individuals who might have seen what happened, but no one witnessed the incident. Nothing further.

On Sept. 19, a wallet was turned in to the police station for safekeeping. While looking for identification, the officer noticed an address in the wallet and was able to return it to the rightful owner. Nothing further.

On Sept. 20, an officer responded to a report from a person who heard someone attempting to enter their house. The individual mentioned that when their dog started barking, they thought the person trying to enter had left. The officer patrolled the area but was unable to locate anyone. Nothing at this time further.

On Sept. 22, officers responded to a business call reporting an individual who left without paying for gas. Despite efforts to locate the individual, officers were unsuccessful. Nothing further.

On Sept. 22, officers investigated a call for a stolen vehicle that may have been spotted in Moorcroft. Officers remain on the lookout for the stolen vehicle. Nothing further at this time.
