We had a great weekend in Big Horn for the 2A invitational. This was the first time we were matched up with other 2A teams so it was a good opportunity to see what the rest of our season might look like.
Our JV went 3-1-3 this weekend. They beat Rocky Mountain, Kemmerer and Greybull. They lost to Shoshone and split with Big Piney, Wind River and Thermopolis.
Lani Gill and Pyper Humpal led with kills, averaging three per set. London McCrea averaged two aces per set. JV played well as a team.
Varsity went 4-3 on the weekend, bringing our overall record to 7-12. They beat Rocky Mountain, Big Piney, Greybull and Windriver. They lost to Thermopolis, Kemmerer and Shoshoni in three sets by only two points.
Liberty Cook and Talia Vargas led the team with an average of two kills per set. Kearza Martinez and Kiriana Martinez both averaged one acre four digs a set. Varsity made some huge growth this weekend and was able to run some new offenses to keep the defense guessing.
