Horizon officially requests tower

Pine Haven’s planning and zoning board has received an official request from Horizon for a variance to build a communications tower west of the community center on private land.

After the public meeting a couple of months ago, the matter went quiet, but now the subject is moving forward. The next step, according to board chair Charlie Gully, is the review of the request by Town Attorney Pat Carpenter before a public hearing.

“We request that people, either for or against, be present at that public hearing at the community center,” he said.

The date and time of this meeting has not been formally stated before review of the document, but will be shared soon.

The future of the possible installation will be determined with the help of those who share their thoughts at this meeting.
