On August 26, authorities were called to a residence to help the Moorcroft ambulance with someone who wasn’t feeling well. The officer stayed there until the person was safely taken to the emergency room. Nothing further.
On August 26, officers assisted an individual with a missing wallet report. Nothing further.
On August 28, officers responded to an assault at Moorcroft High School. The officers spoke with the individuals involved and any staff who saw what happened. Nothing further at this time.
On August 29, officers were dispatched to a residence to aid the Moorcroft ambulance with an individual who had accidentally injured themselves. The officer provided medical aid until the ambulance arrived to take over the care. Nothing further.
On August 29, officers assisted an individual with a civil standby to reclaim their vehicle from their ex, who did not have permission to use it. The vehicle was successfully recovered. Nothing further.
On August 30, an officer stopped to speak with an individual who was searching inside his car. The individual explained that he had just retrieved his car from the CY’s impound lot where he had a disagreement with an employee and unintentionally left his belongings on the roof when he drove away. The Crook County Sheriff’s Office was already informed of the situation and issued a trespass warning. No further action was taken.
On August 30, authorities blocked the traffic for a funeral procession. Nothing further.
On August 30, an individual walked into the police station to report a hit-and-run that had just occurred across the street at Diehl’s Supermarket. They said that a pickup truck had backed out of the parking lot and collided with their camper. The officer walked over to assess the damage and take pictures. After taking statements, the officer tried to find the pickup truck but was unsuccessful. Nothing further.
On August 31, officers responded to a burglary alarm at the West Texas Trails Museum. An officer walked around the building and found no signs of entry. Nothing further.
