What's Happening at the Moorcroft Branch Library

After School Program returns September 4! Elementary aged youth are invited to join us each Wednesday afternoon, 4-5 p.m. for activities and crafts.

Miss Lacey leads this program each week when school is in session offering a variety of activities including maker days, games, crafts and, this year, we will share our Thinking Money for Kids program!

Our Adult Craft Nights return in September, too. September 10, at 5:30 p.m., we will be hosting a Custom Kitchen Board Adult Craft.

Participants will utilize supplies provided to design one-of-a-kind wooden cutting boards that can be used for decoration or sealed for food safe use. Reservations are required with payment in advance. We will have two cutting board shapes to choose from along with a variety of designs that will need to be chosen in advance so that staff can prepare the stencils needed.

We are adding a new youth paint class! Our Beginner Paint Class will be for ages 5-7 and will be limited to four participants each month to allow Miss Lacey to give each child more focus as she shares basic painting techniques. Our first class will be on September 27.

We are taking reservations for our regular Kids Paint Class (ages 8+) on September 13.

September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month. Transform your life with a library card; sign up for a new card anytime in September to receive a treat and to be entered to win our grand prize! We will draw in October for one new Moorcroft Branch Library user to receive a prize basket.

Adult/Teen Summer Reading Road Trip log sheets are due by September 6.
