Keyhole Parks announces September schedule

Summer is almost over and with it, this year's schedule of events hosted by Keyhole State Park. There are five remaining opportunities to get together with likeminded individuals and actively enjoy the remaining days of the season.

Bring swimming attire to relax on the lake with a paddle board, provided by the park, off the Tatanka boat ramp on Sunday, September 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

That evening, at 7 p.m., at the Tatanka shelter, those interested in the importance of beauty of Monarch butterflies and milkweed are invited to experience this educational and fun program.

People have always looked up at the stars with curiosity and awe. Kids and adults are invited to meet at the Homestead Site #42 for a star gazing party on Saturday, September 7; Kids hour is 7-8 p.m. and adults, 8-10 p.m.

Return to the Tatanka shelter for an exploration of the Black Footed Ferret's life on Saturday, September 14, at 7 p.m.

The last meet of the year will be the National Public Lands Day Park Cleanup, a great way to show appreciation for the season's fun. This event takes place at Coulter Bay Cliffs shelter and starts at 10 a.m.
