Filing has now closed for the general election and the roster of candidates for Crook County’s special district positions is official.
Four seats are open for Crook County School District, all four-year terms, for a Hulett, Moorcroft and one of two Sundance district trustee positions.
Candidates include William (Bill) Motley for the Hulett seat; Thayne Gray (incumbent) and Calvin McCrea for the Moorcroft seat; and Will Ellsbury, Dana Hawk, Peggy Howard and Colton Lenz (incumbent) for the Sundance seat.
For Crook County Medical Services District, three seats are open. These include four-year terms for the Hulett, Moorcroft and Sundance areas.
Candidates include Donna Marlene Edwards and Mark Erickson (incumbent) for the Sundance seat; Robert Hibbard (incumbent) for the Hulett seat; and Sharon Coleman for the Moorcroft seat.
Three four-year positions are open for the Crook County Museum District. Galen Moline is the only candidate to have stepped forward.
Three four-year terms are open for the Crook County Senior Citizen Service District. Candidates will include Barbara Bowman-Edwards and Peggy Howard.
Crook County Natural Resource District will meanwhile be seeking candidates for three positions: one rural, one urban and one at-large district supervisor, all for four years.
Candidates include Wayne Garman (incumbent) for the rural seat, Lily Altaffer (incumbent) for the at-large seat and Casey Devish (incumbent) for the urban seat.
