Two new firemen join ranks

Larry Glenn and Allen Johnstone have passed their one year probationary period and have been accepted into the Pine Haven Volunteer Fire Department as trained firefighters.

Both men have exceeded the minimum requirements to hold this position of trust. According to Fire Chief TJ Gideon, "Larry does a lot of driving for the Emergency Medical Service (EMS) and is trained on the fire engines and Allen is part of the ICE Rescue team."

The governing body congratulated the two and thanked them for their efforts in behalf of area residents at last week's Pine Haven Council meeting.
