She Shed opens in Moorcroft

After years of craft fairs and occasion openings, She Shed owners Linda Humes and Renie Bunner have combined their beautiful abilities with fabric and thread before their work to Moorcroft as a store front in the Moorcroft Town Center (MTC), between the Starfish Secondhand Store and the daycare center. The She Shed is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.

The adventure began when Humes' father, who worked with wood, passed away and the two women eventually sold his tools, cleaned the space and made it into the original She Shed in Glenrock, WY.

After the house was sold, though, Bunner moved in with Humes in Moorcroft and with her came the She Shed. "Now, we call it The She Shed Boutique," Humes smiles.

These women make everything in their stock by hand and sewing machine including clothing for newborn to adult clients and with many patterns from which to choose for both men and women that includes authentic vintage, which is quickly growing in popularity; custom orders and alterations are welcome.

Afghans, quilts and kitchen items – table runners, place mats, potholders and more are also available; they can even make welding hats. Their work studio is onsite and clients are able to see how these modistes work.

Humes and Bunner want to provide people with quality handmade clothing and other articles closer to home and at affordable prices. Humes said that since opening July 9, "business has been steady".

The business advertises on Facebook® under "the She Shed Boutique – LR Humes" with pictures of many of their available items.
