The Voice of the Community Since 1909, Serving Moorcroft and Pine Haven, Wyoming
Celebrating Moorcroft's 60th Jubilee with events to please every kind of wholesome interest, opening with goat roping and a circus and ending with Fun Day at Westview Park, the Moorcroft Area Chamber of Commerce outdid themselves this year.
Co-organizer Krissy Hinkhouse shared the turnout for the Friday Night Ranch Rodeo, Saturday's Bronc Ride and the Corn Hole Tournament. Eight teams, eight bronc riders and ten mutton busters competed at the rodeo; 14 riders strutted their stuff at the Riverside Bronc Ride with nine teams gathering strays; and 16 teams played corn hole.
The parade was a big hit with imaginative floats and more horses and flags than ever before. Charlene Huckins' face was alight with a smile as wide as Wyoming as she led a 50-horse march, each rider holding a state flag.
This is the first year she has been able gather enough participants to present every flag of the nation.
