Absaroka District Interpretive Ranger Katie Singleton and a couple of her associates were on hand at the Tatanka Boat Ramp on Friday to kick off the summer with a "Paddle in the Park" event. Kayaks were lined up for the 14 guests and one dog to get their feet wet, figuratively speaking, in a new water sport.
As the day's fun began, Stapleton sat confidently in her own vessel and shared safety points and guidance as she visited with her companions on shore.
For those who missed the adventure, Singleton suggests registering at wyoparks.info/keyholepitp and check out other events at wyoparks.info/keyholeevents.
Singleton sets programs and events at Keyhole as well as throughout Northeastern Wyoming, including Fort Phil Kearny State Historic Site and Trail End Mansion State Historic Site.
