What's happening at the Moorcroft Branch Library

ADVENTURE BEGINS AT YOUR LIBRARY! We are so excited for our 2024 Summer Reading Programs! We have our Children’s Services Program for youth, ages 3-18 or our Adult Services Program for ages 15+. Teens 15+ can choose which program they would like to participate in.

Adults and teens 15+ are invited to join our Summer Reading Road Trip! Pick up your form from the library, track your road trip and reading adventures from June 1-August 31 and return your form by September 6 to be entered into prize drawings.

Signups for our youth program begin on June 5. Participants will log reading hours from June 5-July 17 and turn in reading logs by July 19. Prizes will be awarded on July 24. Plan to join us for Discovery Wednesdays and other special events for additional entries into the prize drawings.

Storytime is Wednesdays at 10 a.m. Weather permitting, we will meet at Robinson Park Wednesday mornings for stories, snacks and activities. Activities are planned for preschool age children, however all ages are welcome. Weekly themes include plants, animals, bugs, outdoor safety and fun outdoor activities.

Wednesday Afternoon Adventures, 1 p.m. on Wednesday afternoons will feature outdoor themed activities for elementary age children and their families. Each week’s activity and location varies. We will be partnering with Keyhole State Park for a few activities! Some activities do require reservations.

Special Events: LEGO Maker Day – Friday, June 21, 1-3 p.m .; Wednesday, July 17, Magician Cody Landstrom, 10 a.m .; July 24, End of Summer Reading Family BBQ. 

Supplies for both programs have been provided by a grant from the Powder River Energy Foundation. Prizes and BBQ supplies have been funded by donations received from local businesses. All participants and their families are invited to attend our Summer Reading BBQ on July 24.
