April 29-May 12
On April 29, police were called to Moorcroft Secondary School for a student that was caught with a vape pen. Officer arrived and spoke with the principal and the student. Student was cited for Minor in Possession of Tobacco.
On April 29, police served a trespass notice to an individual who was in an apartment without permission of the owner.
On April 30, police assisted Moorcroft EMS and Crook County Sheriff’s Office on a report of a vehicle crash at the westbound 153 offramp on I-90. Officer assisted until scene was stable, nothing further.
On May 1, police were requested to unlock a vehicle for an owner who locked their keys in their car. Officer was able to gain access to the vehicle for the owner.
On May 2, Police were contacted by parents who stated their child had not arrived home from school. They contacted everyone they could think of but were unable to locate the child. Officers started the process to search for the missing child. A short time later, the parents contacted the officers and stated their child had been located and was safe. Nothing further.
On May 4, police were notified of a vehicle driving the wrong way on I-90. Officer searched the area and was unable to locate any vehicle traveling the wrong direction. Nothing further.
On May 6, police assisted Moorcroft EMS on an emergency call.
On May 8, police were requested to unlock a vehicle for an owner who locked their keys in their car. Officer was able to gain access to the vehicle for the owner.
On May 9, police assisted Moorcroft EMS on an emergency call.
On May 9, police were requested to do a welfare check on a resident. Officer was able to make contact with the resident and all was well.
On May 10, police assisted Moorcroft EMS on an emergency call.
On May 10, police were contacted regarding multiple vehicles stolen from a residence in town. Investigation is continuing.
On May 12, police were called to a report of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, officer met with the individuals in the home who stated there was an argument but nothing physical took place. Officer advised the parties separate for the evening and informed them that the fighting/arguing needed to stop.
On May 12, police were called regarding possible child abuse. Investigation is continuing.
