Spearfish Queen City Classic

On Friday, April 5, the Wolves Track and Field team went to play at the Spearfish Queen City Classic. 

In the 100 Meter Dash Men's competition, Dima Haskell had to rerun his event due to the clock and the gun not being in sync. Using the first race as a warmup, Dima took charge and won his heat by .01 seconds with a time of 11.99.

Lathan Dewey earned a 12.60 finish and Justus Mills ran his race in 16.10. In the 200 Meter, Lathan finished in 26.19, Trenten Gray finished in 27.76 and William Riddle finished in 27.89. 

In the 400 Meter Dash, Braydnn Terry ran a speedy 57.68, Hayden Amende finished in 59.59, and Jacob Anderson finished in 1:01.82. Jacob finished the 800 Meter with a time of 2:41.94. 

In the Men's 300 Hurdles, Hayden Amende made it in 50.09. In the Men's Sprint Medley Relay the relay team of William, Lathan, Dima and Braydnn earned a ninth place finish with the time of 4:15.25. Dima sailed through the air for 17' 11" in Long Jump, and Hayden leaped for 17' 5.25", Trenten jumped for 14' 7.50.

Hayden continued his flight in the Triple Jump with a leap of 35' 4". In the Discus, Dima launched the saucer for 108' 9", Brayden Keller-Decoteau threw the Discus for 56'. In the Shot Put, Oliver Gorsuch put the sphere 35' 4 " and Brayden put the shot for 29' 11".

In the Women's Division, Lani Gill sprinted to a 14.42 100 Meter finish and Melibe Downey sprinted her 100 Meter race in 16. In the 200 Meter Dash, London McCrea sprinted to the finish line in 29.84, Talia Vargas finished in 30.85, and Melibe crossed the line in 35.00. Talia quickly ran around the oval in the 400 Meter Dash in 1:06.95.

Lani sailed through the obstacles in the 100 Meter Hurdles in 19.95. London went to town in the 300 Hurdles to finish in 49.89 and Talia crossed the finish line in her 300 Hurdle race in 53.75. The 4x100 team of Talia, Kylee Keller-Decoteau, Lani and London ran an impressive 59.08 second race. 

Lani Gill leapt through the air for 14' 1.5" in the Long Jump. In the Discus Throw, Kylee launched the saucer for 60'' 3" and Clarissa Moebius threw the discus for 48' 2".  In the Shot Put, Kylee let the sphere fly for 23' 1" and Clarissa sent it airborne for 17' 10".

The Wolves travel to Upton on April 12 for the Mick Tonkel Invite.
