On March 6, police were contacted regarding a traffic complaint of speeding in a residential area. Officers will keep an eye on the area in question.
On March 7, police were called regarding possible gunshots in or near town. Officer spoke with area residents who did not hear anything. Officer spoke with the complainant who stated they heard one shot and was unsure of the area it came from. Unable to locate anything suspicious or out of the ordinary, location could have been in the county.
On March 8, police received a complaint of two dogs running at large. Officer was able to contact the owner of the animals. Citations were issued.
On March 8, police assisted Department of Family Services on a home check and PBT test of a juvenile. Juvenile was cited for Minor in Possession of Alcohol.
On March 9, police were contacted regarding a 911 hang up from a residence in town. Officer located the occupants of the residence who stated they knew their grandchild had called 911 and hung but everything was fine in the home. Officer spoke with the child regarding the use of 911.
On March 9, during a traffic stop, driver was found to have a valid Crook County warrant. Officer transported Suspect to Crook County Detention Center without incident.
On March 9, police provided traffic control for an oversized load. Nothing further
On March 10, police received a report of a female being held in an apartment against her will by her boyfriend. Upon investigation, altercation appeared to be verbal in nature only. Female received a ride from family to her parents’ house in Gillette. Officer provided the male a courtesy ride home.
