What's happening at the Moorcroft Branch Library

March is National Reading Month! Reading is fun and has many benefits for everyone of all ages and most importantly, reading is essential to a good education and professional development. Reading can also have immediate and long-lasting health benefits such as increased cognitive function, memory, vocabulary and decreased levels of stress. Reading can also help with your writing as well as conversational and public speaking skills.

There are many ways you can enjoy a good book even if you don’t love to read. Try listening to audio books, join a book club, read aloud to your family or take turns reading with others. Try new reading techniques such as skimming or scanning until you find what works for you. 

We will have a drop in activity on March 1, celebrating Dr Seuss! All ages are welcome to stop in anytime 1until 3 pm. March 2 is Read Across America Day and the birthday of Dr. Seuss. 

There is still plenty of time to pick up your 24 in ‘24 Adult Book Challenge log sheet!
