The Lady Wolves wrestlers started the week off with their dual in Gillette against Campbell County on Tuesday night, February 6. The six girls put up a fight, but came away short, losing the dual, 12-24.
Rebekah Anderson was named the All-Conference Wrestler of the Year in the girl's division.
Daytona Hannah started the dual out with a nice pin followed by Rebekah Anderson, winning her match by decision, 6-2; Nadia Harding, Tessa Farnsworth and Olivia Sundstrom all lost by fall and Kaylee Buckner had to injury default her match.
The team then competed in the Powder River Conference Duals, in Sundance, on Thursday, the 8th.
There, they came away with seven varsity boy All-Conference champions and five girl All-Conference champions along with both boys' and girls' teams taking the team All-Conference championships.

Moorcroft Girls versus Wright - 30-30-Moorcroft winning the dual off of criteria for having the most pins.
On Friday and Saturday, the team traveled to Saratoga to compete in the Carbon County wrestling tournament. There, they made their presence known with having ten in the finals, six champions and many placers.
They also came away with taking first place as a team with 283.0 points over second place Big Piney with 171 points and third place Cokeville with 126.5 team points.
Individual results were:
Champions: 113 Dayne Humes pinned his way into the finals, where he won with a pin to take the championship; 132 Braydnn Terry pinned his way into the finals, where he won by major decision, 8-0 to place first; 138 Wyatt Cook pinned his way into the finals, where he won by decision to place first; 190 Wyatt Allred pinned his way into and through the finals; 215 Oliver Gorsuch went 3-0, pinning all of his opponents to place first; and 285 Elyott Gorsuch pinned his way into the finals, where he won with a pin to take the championship.
Second Place: 138 Trenton Sheehan pinned his way into the finals, where he lost by decision to place second; 144 Trenten Gray went 3-1, pinning his way into the finals, where he lost by decision, 2-6; 150 Riley DeHaven went 3-1, also pinning his way into the finals, where he lost by decision, 3-5; and 165 Marcus James went 2-1, making it into the finals, where he lost by decision, 3-6.
Third Place: 157 Chayce Buckner, 4-1, winning all his matches by pin.
Fourth Place: 157 Truck Lowrey, 3-2; 175 Spencer Cuthrell went 3-2.
Fifth Place: 106 Danner Wiseman; 120 Weston Haskell; 126 Cade Williams went 4-2; 132 Kyler Summers; 150 Brady Garoutte, 4-2.
Sixth Place: 126 Adam Cuthrell went 3-3.
High scorers for the Wolves were Wyatt Cook with 30 team points followed by Dayne Humes, Oliver Gorsuch and Elyott Gorsuch, all with 26 team points.
On the girls' side of the tournament, six Lady Wolves took to the mat, finishing with two champions, two runner ups and all six placing. Individual results were:
Champions: Daytona Hannah in a three-man round robin, won with two pins to place first; Rebekah Anderson won both her matches by decision, 4-1 and 2-0 to take the championship.
Second Place: Nadia Harding went 2-1, winning her two matches with a pin to place second and be the high scorer for the team with scoring 14 team points. Krizma Delfino went 0-2 in best out of three matches to place second.
Third Place: Chloe Hidalgo
Fourth Place: Tessa Farnsworth
As a team, they placed third for having the most pins in the least amount of time with four pins in 4:56 and second for having the most total match points with 24.
Next up for the Wolves wrestling teams is their regional tournaments to qualify for state. Girls will be in Torrington on Friday and Saturday, the 16-17th for the all-class East Regional tournament, starting at 12:30 p.m. Boys will be in Tongue River on Saturday, the 17th for the 2A East Regionals, starting at 10 a.m.
