The Wolves wrestling team traveled to Hettinger, ND this past weekend to compete in the Hettinger Classic tournament against fourteen teams. On Thursday, the team dualled New Salem, ND and Friday and Saturday, wrestled in the tournament. There, they placed second as a team, having one champion, three runners up and many placers.

Individual results for the tournament were:
107 Danner Wiseman went 2-5, making it to the placing match, where he lost by decision, 2-0 to place seventh; 114 Dayne Humes went 7-0, winning three of his matches by pin, making it into the semifinals, where he won by decision 5-1, to advance into the finals, where he won by major decision, 11-1, to take the championship; 121 Kade Haynes, 3-4, made it into the placings, where he placed seventh; 127 Cade Williams, 4-3, made it into the consolation semifinals, where he won by major 8-0, to advance into the placings, where he won by pin in 1:37, to place fifth; 127 Cole Cantu went 3-4, to make it into the placings, where he won with a defensive pin in 5:07, to place seventh; 133 Wyatt Cook, 4-3, making it into the placing rounds, where he won by decision, 7-0, to place fifth; 133 Shane Hannah, 4-3, winning three of his matches by pin, to make it into the placings, where he won, to place seventh; 139 Braydnn Terry, 5-2, winning all his matches by pin, making it into the semifinals, where he lost by decision, 5-8, to move into the placings, where he lost by decision, to place to place fourth; 145 Trenten Gray went 6-1, winning four of his matches by pin, to make it into the semifinals, where he won, to advance into the finals, there, he had a tough match, where he lost by decision, to place second; 145 Jacob Anderson, 4-3, winning his matches with pins and a sudden victory overtime, 8-6, to make it into the semifinals, where he lost, to move into the placings, where he placed fourth; 152 Riley DeHaven went 5-2, winning three of his matches by pin and his consolation semifinals match in sudden victory overtime, 11-9, to move him into the placings, where he won with a pin in 1:25, to pace fifth; 160 Truck Lowrey went 1-4; 160 Chayce Buckner, 3-4, made it into the placings, where he won with a pin in 1:21, to place seventh; 172 Spencer Cuthrell, 4-3, won with pins, to make it into the consolation semifinals, where he won with a pin, to move into the placings, where he placed fifth; 189 Wyatt Allred made his way into the finals, where he placed second; 215 Oliver Gorsuch, 4-1, pinned his way into the finals, where he placed second; 285 Elyott Gorsuch, 4-3, also pinned his way into the placing rounds, where he placed seventh.
In individual stats for the tournament, Dayne Humes led the team with the most team points with 37, followed by Trenten Gray with 30 and Oliver Gorsuch with 28. Shane Hannah tied for first with having the fastest pin in :09 seconds. As a team, the Wolves placed second with 219 team points under first place Sturgis Brown and above third place Miles City, MT with 154 points.

Individual results for the girl's tournament were:
112 Rebekah Anderson went 4-1, winning all her matches with pins, to place second; 118 Kaylee Buckner, 1-4, placed fifth; 124 Nadia Harding, 3-2, made her way into the placings, where she won her placing match with a pin in 1:47, to place third; 130 Tessa Farnsworth, 1-4, placed fifth and Krizma Delfino placed third.
As a team, the girls placed sixth out of 12 teams with 61 team points. Rebekah Anderson scored the most team points with 28, followed by Nadia Harding with 15.
