Timothy Lee Wattenberg, age 72, of Moorcroft, Wyoming, passed away October 28, 2023, in Casper, Wyoming.
He was born May 11, 1951 in Sheridan, Wyoming, to Edward "Bill and Janice "Pat" (Harle) Wattenberg. He attended schools in Upton and Newcastle, Wyoming and graduated from Upton High School.
After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army in 1971 and served in Germany. He was honorably discharged in May 1973, after serving nearly two years.
He met Reda Deerman in Rawlins, Wyoming and they married shortly after. They later divorced in 1985.
He was diligent in the oil and gas industry, working for several different companies. His career would often relocate his family to numerous towns within Wyoming and Utah.
He was very involved with the American Legion and search and rescue. He was the one to call whenever you needed a helping hand – he was so very generous and a friend to all. He enjoyed the outdoors and camping.
He is survived by his sister, Kathy Vance, of Oklahoma; niece, Rockylee Vance of Oklahoma; daughter, Crystal (Scott) Reck and Bill (Mia) Wattenberg of Casper, Wyoming and grandchildren Anthony Schnabel, Steven Schnabel, Sierra Alcala and Trillian Wattenberg.
He is preceded in passing by his parents and his brother, Rocky Wattenberg.
Military Honor Services were held Friday, November 10, 2023 at Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery.
