Crook County Senior Services (CCSS) is launching this year’s Tree of Life project, a way to honor and remember the people who are special in your life during the holiday season.
In each of the senior centers around the county, a tree will bear lights that each signify an individual. The white lights are in memory of a person who has passed away, while a colored light honors a person who is still alive.
Meanwhile, a list of the names of those people who have been commemorated on the trees, as well as the person who chose to honor them, will be printed in the newspaper at Christmas time.
Within this issue, you will find a Tree of Life form on which you can name those individuals you would like to remember or honor. CCSS requests a minimum $5 donation for each name, and asks that your forms be returned by December 11.
Tree of Life is one of CCSS’s regular fundraising efforts for the year.
