Over the weekend, Junior Varsity and Varsity had their Homecoming games. On Friday, JV played against Bighorn and took it to three sets, winning the first set, 27-25 and losing the two other sets, 16-25 and 15-25.
Varsity lost in three sets against Bighorn, but didn't go down without a fight and ended with scores, 25-11, 25-12 and 25-19. Despite losing, the girls had really good plays and worked together as a team to score points against Bighorn.
Between all three sets, Junior Elise Kuhbacher had a total of 11 digs and seven assists and Junior Talia Vargas had four aces. With each set the girls continue to improve and work on their skills and come closer to a win.
Saturday morning, the Lady Wolves traveled to Tongue River where JV put their skills together and worked well as a team to defeat the Eagles in two with scores, 25-21 and 25-17. Varsity lost in three with scores, 25-19, 25-17 and 25-15. The girls had great hits and got some blocks on the Eagles.
Senior Natalee Scribner had two aces and sophomore Liberty Cook got two kills. Although losing, the girls gave it their all and continue to grow and learn with each game.
Next weekend, the Lady Wolves host two home games. Thursday is Senior Night against Hulett at 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. and Friday is Pink Night against Sundance at 1, 2 and 3 p.m.
