Sept. 4-10
On September 5, police were requested to respond to a two-vehicle crash at mile marker 156 on Highway 14, north of Moorcroft. Officers conducted traffic control on the road while the traffic accident report information was taken.
On September 7, police were called to Moorcroft Secondary School in reference to a fight between five students. Officer arrived at the school and spoke to the students involved and gathered statements regarding the situation. Investigation is continuing.
On September 8, police were requested to do a welfare check on a resident who was unable to be contacted by family. Officer went to the residence and contacted the subject. Officer called the family member back and advised all was well. Nothing further.
On September 10, police were notified of a suspicious vehicle parked near the rest area. Officer responded and found the vehicle in question. Officer contacted the owner and advised them to pick up the vehicle. Owner retrieved the vehicle, nothing further.
Stats: Forty-four business checks. Seventeen traffic warnings. Eight crosswalk/school zone. Abandoned vehicle. Assist to other agency. Background check. Battery. Fingerprinting. Juvenile issue – criminal. Welfare check.
Citations Issued: Fifteen citations for speeding. Two citations for seat belt violation. Citation for improper display of registration. Citation for no insurance.
