The Moorcroft Golf team hosted the Moorcroft Invite at the Keyhole Country Club on Friday. Carter Hatling improved his 18-hole score, improving by 8 strokes from the prior week's events.
For McKinnon Purcell and Gatlin McCrea, this was the first golf tournament of the season. Overall, the team gained a lot of experience in all aspects of the sport and all had several shots that golfers will tell you keeps you coming back.
On Saturday, the team traveled to a hot and windy Upton Tournament at the Cedar Pines Golf Course. Carter dropped several more strokes over his prior play and parred several holes.
Gatlin had several great iron shots and showed overall improvement in putting. McKinnon hit some excellent tee shots and, like Gatlin, showed growth in many areas.
The team travels to Wright on Friday for the Wright invite.
