New contractors brought in for C-Bar

Freedom Holdings’ Greg Cottrell, one of the developers and owners of C-Bar Estates in Pine Haven, and the company’s engineer, Chris Lovas, have hired KO Construction to finish the work of burying the open trenches and cleaning the site after the council felt that the former contractor had abandoned the job in a dangerous state.

Local resident and owner of KO, Kelly Lang, assured the mayor that bringing the site to the legally required safety standard and cleaning up the site is his “first priority”.

As an added measure, Pine Haven’s Public Works Director Sean Glasser will be joining HDR Engineering’s representatives in performing regular progress inspections.

Continuing this closer communication among all entities, Brandenburg will convene another meeting for an update on KO’s progress before the regular council meeting September 12.

She expressed her comfort with this choice on the part of Freedom, saying, “I feel like Kelly will be able to keep the project going in the right direction with his experience working with Pine Haven’s soil.”
