August 14-20
On August 14, police assisted Moorcroft EMS on a lift assist.
On August 15, police were contacted by someone who found a wallet in Diehl’s parking lot. Officer was able to find the owner and the wallet was returned.
On August 17, police were called regarding a suspicious person on the railroad tracks near Robinson Park. Officer arrived and met with the person in question who was standing alongside the tracks looking at the sky with a telescope. Officer advised that they move closer to the bottom of the hill away from the tracks for safety purposes and to stay off railroad property.
On August 19, police were contacted by an animal owner who felt their dog was possibly poisoned. Officer spoke with owner about the situation and to the vet regarding the sick animal. Officer is not able to prove that the animal was poisoned and advised the owner to put up cameras if they are worried about someone trying to hurt their animals. Nothing further at this time.
On August 20, police were requested to do a civil standby during a custody exchange. Officer arrived and met with one of the parents and was advised that the exchange had already happened. Nothing further.
On August 19, officer assisted a motorist who had a flat tire.
On August 20, police were called regarding a fist fight in progress at the Coffee Cup Fuel Stop. Officer arrived at Coffee Cup and spoke with witnesses of the fight. Officers also reviewed the camera footage of the encounter and subsequently one male was arrested for Battery. Suspect was taken to Crook County Detention Center without incident.
