ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1-305 OF CHAPTER 1, TITLE 1 OF THE CODE OF THE TOWN OF MOORCROFT, WYOMING, 1979 TO SET REGULAR MEETINGS OF THE GOVERNING BODY AT 7:00 P.M. ON THE SECOND AND FOURTH WEDNESDAY OF EACH MONTH OR IF THE REGULAR MEETING IS A LEGAL HOLIDAY THEN AT 7:00 P.M. ON THE NEXT FOLLOWING BUSINESS DAY WHICH IS NOT A LEGAL HOLIDAY; ESTABLISH THAT MEETINGS OF THE GOVERNING BODY SHALL BE HELD IN THE TOWN’S ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES UNLESS OTHERWISE DETERMINED; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE TOWN OF MOORCROFT, CROOK COUNTY, WYOMING that:

SECTION 1: Section 1-305 of Chapter 1, Title 1 of the Code of the Town of Moorcroft, Wyoming, 1979 shall be and the same hereby amended to read in complete form as follows:

“1-305 -- MEETINGS OF THE GOVERNING BODY –

(a) Regular meetings of the Governing Body of the Town shall be at 7:00 p.m. on the second (2nd) and the fourth (4th) Wednesday of each month. If the second (2nd) or fourth (4th) Wednesday of the month is a legal holiday as specified under Wyoming state law, then the regular meeting shall be held at 7:00 p.m. on the next following business day (Monday through Friday) which is not a legal holiday.

(b) Regular, special and emergency meetings of the Governing Body of the Town shall be held in the Town’s administrative offices or at such other location(s) as may from time-to-time be determined by the Governing Body to accommodate special conditions.”

SECTION 2: This Ordinance shall become effective after passage and upon publication as provided by law, and all ordinances or parts thereof in conflict herewith are repealed to the extent of such conflict.

Passed on first reading: April 12th, 2023.

Passed on second reading: May 10th, 2023.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED on third reading this 14th day of June, 2023.
