HiSET graduation May 22

The Sundance office of the College and Career Readiness Center (CCRC) of Eastern Wyoming College (EWC) proudly announces the 2023 HiSET graduation to be held on Monday, May 22, 7 p.m. in the Central Office Gym, 122 Hwy 585, Sundance. The public is cordially invited to attend. 

HiSET is a high school equivalency program that includes studies and testing in Language Arts Reading and Writing, Math, Social Studies and Science. It also includes a career exploration and work preparation component as well.

The goal of the program is for students to gain meaningful employment or go on to higher education. The HiSET diploma is accepted by all institutions of higher learning, as well as by the military and by employers. The HiSET program is free of charge for anyone 16 or older.

This year’s Sundance graduates include Victoria Nelson, Bailey (Jones) Gose, Tanner Sandford, Aislyn Wacker, Evan Finn and Chelsey Nehmer. Other area graduates include Ephraim Black and Summer Rath from Newcastle and Taylor Moore-Woods from Moorcroft.

EWC staff involved in the instruction of the students includes Janet Cole Lake (Sundance), Ayme Ahrens (Career Exploration and online instruction), Shirley DeMerritt (Newcastle) and Callie Allred, EWC CCRC Director.
