March 20-26
On March 20, police were contacted by a parent who wanted to report a theft that was possibly committed by their child. Officer met up with the parent and child and spoke with them regarding the situation. Investigation is continuing.
On March 21, police were notified of people being in a residence that were not supposed to be there. Upon arrival, officer met with those in the residence and was advised that they were working for the mortgage company and were dealing with a foreclosure. After verification, the officer left the residence. Nothing further.
On March 22, police were called to Coffee Cup Fuel Stop regarding a couple suspicious individuals looking into different vehicles in the parking lot. Officer took descriptions of the suspicious individuals and searched the area and neighborhoods for anyone matching those descriptions. Officer was unable to locate the individuals.
On March 23, police were called to an address on Lincoln Street for a complaint of loose dogs attempting to bite people. Upon arrival, officer met with the complainant who signed a complaint for the vicious dogs. Officer contacted the owner and explained the situation. Owner was cited for Vicious Dogs and Animals at Large.
On March 24, police gave emergency fund assistance to a traveler in need.
On March 24, police were contacted by a resident who wanted to report their vehicle had been taken without permission. The owner knew who had taken it and let the officer know where they may be at. Officer contacted a neighboring town police department and asked if they could locate the vehicle. Vehicle was located and the owner stated they would have the vehicle picked up by a family member. Nothing further.
On March 24, police gave emergency fund assistance to a traveler in need.
