Still no place for post prom

After Moorcroft’s council followed the recommendation of the fire department’s board to refuse the annual request from the school to host the post prom party in the fire station, the council offered the police bays in the town hall building on the north side of Converse.

However, according to Public Works Director Cory Allison, the school has not accepted the invitation because the game trailers annually hired for this event do not fit.

“They’ve been working with us and trying to figure out what they’re going to do,” he says. “The stuff they have is just way too big to fit in there.”

The only other option is the maintenance building east of Westview Park. Allison, who is not only the maintenance director, but also a long-time sports coach, expresses his disappointment with this development.
