Swagger Construction is working on the compaction of the roads in the C Bar Subdivision, but the crew is having some difficulty getting the right compaction because of the soil in the area.
The soil has been tested five times and they have now found the right process, which entails reworking the roadways to the base to get the HDR Engineering’s required compaction, “So we have a good product when they are done,” according to Mayor Karla Brandenburg.
This repaction will put the dirt-work behind schedule to some extent, but, says the mayor, “They have been very cooperative and [are] working with the town to make sure we have a good road.”
The governing body wants to remind residents that all HDR fees are paid by C Bar developers with the understanding that the point of the engineering oversight is to ensure all aspects of this subdivision are according to council-approved plans.
