Pine Haven slash piles under threat

Recently, an individual from Pine Ridge was intercepted as they attempted to dump yard waste from their property onto the Pine Haven slash pile. Public Works Director Sunny Schell reports that this is not the only incident; others have been found dumping from Pine Ridge and Liberty Lane as well.

She advises that the Pine Haven slash pile is for municipal residents only; those who do not live within town limits are not allowed to dump there.

“The slash pile is for the residents of Pine Haven and that’s who it should be for. If it gets too big, we can’t manage it and we might have to shut it down,” she says.
