The Voice of the Community Since 1909, Serving Moorcroft and Pine Haven, Wyoming
The Lady Wolves played the other teams in the Crook County last week, seeing Hulett and Sundance. We are now 14-11 overall.
Against Hulett, we lost, Hulett 3 Moorcroft 1 (25-19, 25-18, 20-25, 25-19). We didn’t have our best night and Hulett took advantage of this by staying consistent throughout the match. They have a scrappy team who showed up and played very well.
The next day, we were on the road again to Sundance and rebounded quickly by sweeping Sundance with the win in three sets, Moorcroft 3 Sundance 0 (25-22, 27-25, 25-18). We were happy with winning three sets in a row.
We stayed consistent as a team, serving 94% and having a hitting percentage that kept our offense consistent, as well. We executed our game plan on serving aggressive and attacking their defense.
This week, we have two conferences games coming up. We are tied for first in our conference as of right now so the next few weeks will determine our seed for the regional tournament at the end of the month. I am excited to see our team continue to work hard and show success this season.
Come support the Lady Wolves at our next home game against Newcastle, on Friday at 2/3/4. This one is a fundraiser for breast cancer and our pink night!
