Patrick LeFave of Moorcroft will spend up to three years behind bars after his probation was revoked for three separate alleged violations. LeFave was serving 36 months of supervised probation after pleading guilty to strangulation of a household member in 2019.
According to the complaint, LeFave failed to meet the conditions of his probation in three ways, including that he failed to meet with his supervising probation agent twice in March this year.
LeFave is also reported to have admitted to a Department of Family Services agent and his probation agent that he had contact with a family member in violation of his court-ordered no contact, and to have failed to have attended a court-ordered behavioral therapy group on six occasions, causing him to be discontinued from the group.
LeFave’s original sentence was reinstated, which will see him serve between one and three years in a state penal institution. Judge Stuart S. Healy III also ordered him to pay a $1500 fine.
LeFave was originally sentenced following an incident in which he was accused of physically attacking a female victim who then locked herself in a room to contact law enforcement.
A Sheriff’s Office deputy was dispatched to a residence in Moorcroft on the morning of March 27, 2019 to respond to a report of a domestic issue. The call to 911 was placed by a female who claimed she had been physically assaulted by LeFave.
The caller allegedly stated that LeFave grabbed her by the neck and pushed her backwards and, at the time of the call, was attempting to force his way into the room she had barricaded herself inside.
LeFave allegedly claimed that he and the female victim had been arguing that day. The victim concurred, according to the deputy’s report, stating that the argument began in the early hours of the morning and started again at around 10:30 a.m.
She claimed LeFave slammed her against a dryer and hit her on the right side of her face. Earlier in the day, the victim further claimed that LeFave had verbally threatened to attack her with a knife.
