Moorcroft Police Report

On September 13, police served a notice of setting for Municipal Court.

On September 14, police were called to Deere Haven for a fight. One party was arrested for Battery and transported to Crook County Detention Center.

On September 14, police were called to a residence regarding a suspicious incident. Resident found a bag of dog feces on their car parked in their driveway. Resident had suspicions on who left it but no way to know for sure. Officer took report, nothing further.

On September 14, police were called to a domestic disturbance between a mother and son. Officer arrived and spoke with both parties. It was decided that the juvenile be taken to the YES House in Gillette for counseling.

On September 16, police were called to a possible domestic disturbance in the high school parking lot. Officer arrived on scene and spoke with the parties and witnesses. No arrests were made, and all parties involved left the area.

On September 17, police were contacted regarding a felon in possession of firearms. Officer contacted the person in question and was allowed to look around and did not locate any firearms. Unfounded.

On September 19, police arrested a suspect on a Crook County Warrant for a probation violation. Officer transported suspect to Crook County Detention Center without incident.

On September 21, police were called regarding a semi-truck driver failing to stop for an occupied crosswalk during the high school lunch break. Officer spoke with the complainant who gave a description of the semi truck and driver. Officer contacted the driver and advised them of the complaint and the violation. Driver stated it would not happen again.

On September 22, police conducted traffic control for the Homecoming Parade.

On September 22, police assisted a parent in locating their child at the Junior High Homecoming Dance.

On September 24, police assisted Moorcroft Secondary School with homecoming dance activity.

On September 25, police were notified of an open 9-1-1 line coming from a residence on Country Lane. Officer went to the address and spoke with all who were there. It was determined that one of the individual’s had accidently activated the SOS feature on their phone when it was placed in a cup holder of their vehicle. Nothing further.
