Mayoral Candidate Q and A

Pine Haven’s Over the Hill Gang will be hosting a mayoral candidate question and answer event at the community center on Saturday, October 8 at 7 p.m.

Incumbent Karla Brandenburg and candidate Fred Nelson have agreed to attend; however, the session will continue with only one present. This is not a debate; the purpose is not an argument of policy or opinion, but an opportunity for the candidates to answer questions.

Local resident and former councilman Mike Pommarane will be moderating and, after Brandenburg and Nelson introduce themselves, they will be afforded two minutes to answer each question asked.

The contenders will first answer a number of prepared questions that will have been presented to them 48 hours before the event.

During a subsequent break, members of the audience who have questions may write and hand them to the moderator; of those gathered, eight will be chosen by Pommarane and assisting senior board members to be asked aloud after the session resumes.

Cookies and beverages will be provided by the hosts.
