Suzette Edwards and friend Mary Daniels introduced a craft fair and bake sale as the next annual event adopted by Pine Haven citizens. Another friend, Jackie Tobin was in charge of food, consisting of sloppy joes, hotdogs, chips and a drink for a small cost.
"That," Edwards said, "was a huge success."
The ten craft vendors as well as Alyssa Tobin, who managed the bakery table, voiced their appreciation, according to Edwards, of the around 75 guests who attended throughout the day on Saturday, each one reporting a good response for their time and effort.
Edwards was a vendor, herself, showing a beautiful selection of ornaments made of local wood. Other items for sale at the craft fair included everything from home made dog treats, greeting cards and crocheted dish scrubbers to small bags to hook on back packs or for a first aid kit and key chains to name only a few.
"We're very happy," Edwards later advocated, "and, hopefully, it'll be an ongoing thing that will popular with both people and vendors."
Edwards and her associates plan to conduct another craft fair this fall, "So the Christmas crowd can get caught up.
